Although I avoid reading social books...

Although I avoid reading social books, mostly because they make me sad, I couldn't help but give this one a chance.
Since Maria's first book, her writing has really suited my tastes and she has become one of my favorite authors. In this second sentence, I think her development is obvious and the story, Shocking!
We follow the life of Panagiota who experiences inhumane behavior from an early age, grows up in a closed society and through her drama, the author manages to pass on life lessons to the reader, but no sophistication.
We see through the eyes of a girl in need of love, experiencing love for the first time and her life changing tremendously. I was so captivated by the story that I read the l book in 5 hours and then, I couldn't recover. Everything I experienced through Panagiota was engraved in me in such a way that I still think about it.
The book deals with so many social issues...
Violence in all its forms, the silence of society, the emancipation of women and so much more that I cannot mention in order not to spoil it. You get so much out of reading it and it's all masterfully delivered sprinkled with unconditional everlasting love. Congratulations Maria Foskolou, may you continue to rock us with your unique way of writing!

The author comes with her second book...

The author comes with her second book to turn all the facts on how to write a novel. With a book so well written and a premise so well presented, it offers the reader a unique experience of suspense, while making you not want to put it down.
He managed to win me over from the very first pages, while my emotions throughout the reading of the book alternated. Anger, hate, rage, love, joy and compassion were what accompanied me throughout this journey.
My congratulations and I will eagerly await your next novel. Know you've gained another avid reader on your list.

Very good. Writing simple, lyrical and in a way that transports you to the place and the time...

Very good. Writing simple, lyrical and in a way that transports you to the place and the time.
There were so many twists and surprises that I couldn't put it down.
I didn't know the author and when it was brought to me as a gift I was hesitant because I prefer more well-known authors. Finally, we have to give space to the new kids as well.

The author Maria Foskolou pleasantly surprised me...

The author Maria Foskolou pleasantly surprised me. Her pen has power, truth and she knows how to narrate without tiring. Even if he deals with difficult social issues, such as child abuse, he knows how to describe difficult scenes and put you inside, take an active role, feeling the pain and every emotion. The images he created for me was to transport myself to that era and enter the protagonist Panagiota. I felt her deeply and that is important for a writer to be able to do. When a book manages to drag you into a chimera of emotions, makes you angry, laugh, happy, but most importantly tears, then the author has that something that not many have. A book that flowed effortlessly, I didn't want to put it down, I was anxious until the last page about how it will end, if there will be justice and happiness in a tortured soul. Can a child when he receives all kinds of abuse, leave it all behind and get up to live? Start from scratch? Will Panagiota find the strength and maturity to join her own puzzle with Louka's, a love so strong that it destroys even the pain of the soul?
Within the pages you will find answers that you did not imagine, many times you think that resignation will come. When life is divided into two puzzle pieces, you have the mental strength to persevere, to persevere until those two pieces become one. For me one of the best books of the year by an author who has a diamond pen.
