Although I avoid reading social books...

Although I avoid reading social books, mostly because they make me sad, I couldn't help but give this one a chance.
Since Maria's first book, her writing has really suited my tastes and she has become one of my favorite authors. In this second sentence, I think her development is obvious and the story, Shocking!
We follow the life of Panagiota who experiences inhumane behavior from an early age, grows up in a closed society and through her drama, the author manages to pass on life lessons to the reader, but no sophistication.
We see through the eyes of a girl in need of love, experiencing love for the first time and her life changing tremendously. I was so captivated by the story that I read the l book in 5 hours and then, I couldn't recover. Everything I experienced through Panagiota was engraved in me in such a way that I still think about it.
The book deals with so many social issues...
Violence in all its forms, the silence of society, the emancipation of women and so much more that I cannot mention in order not to spoil it. You get so much out of reading it and it's all masterfully delivered sprinkled with unconditional everlasting love. Congratulations Maria Foskolou, may you continue to rock us with your unique way of writing!
